Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to address our rising operational costs and review our customer rates. This is not a decision that we take lightly, but it does allow us to continue providing the top-quality service levels you have come to expect from GT Couriers. We are sure you understand our need to do this, as you have no doubt probably had the same tough decisions to make within your own operations.
Rising costs associated with vehicle maintenance, insurance, labour and increased National Insurance contributions have made this change necessary to maintain our reliable and efficient transport services. The overall increase in our transport rates is 8% across all services and will take effect from 1st April 2025. Please note that this increase will not affect any ongoing jobs or previously agreed-upon quotes or bookings prior to this date.
On a positive note, however, we have seen a drastic drop in bunker fuel costs. Effective from the same date, we will be removing our current 3% fuel surcharge, despite European fuel prices remaining higher than pre-energy crisis levels. A small win!
